Hi everyone!\u202fMy name is Hannah and I am just a few weeks shy from finishing up my first semester in my accelerated nursing program at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN.\u202fTo say that nursing school in general is a big commitment is an understatement. Trying to cram all of that learning and preparation into just 16 months\u2026 well, I am still trying to figure out how to describe that. Going into my program, I didn\u2019t really have a set game plan for how I wanted to study. This is especially the case since the material I would be learning about was completely different from what I studied in my first degree.\u202fLittle did I know that upon purchasing my books (all published by Elsevier), my studying concerns went out the door.\u202fI quickly realized all the extra resources that Elsevier offered, and my new studying go-to instantly became Elsevier\u2019s Adaptive Quizzing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For each of my nursing books, Elsevier offers the resources to generate quizzes for you based off the specific chapter that you choose.\u202f\u202fYou can choose either the \u201cMastery\u201d option, where it is an unlimited amount of questions until you reach your desired level of expertise regarding the topic(s) chosen.\u202fOr you can choose the \u201cCustom\u201d option, where you choose a set number of questions in the topic(s) of your choice, which will also help you reach a certain level of expertise.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I cannot express enough how much these adaptive quizzes have helped not only myself, but my fellow classmates as well.\u202fLeading up to every exam, my classmates and I discuss how we plan to review as many Elsevier Adaptive Quizzes as we can because we know that they have helped us be well-prepared for our previous exams.\u202fI\u2019ve learned that the more adaptive quizzes that I can get under my belt, the more confident I feel walking into my exams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think a lot of us can agree that we can only continue to read the same information repeatedly until it starts to make us go stir-crazy.\u202fThat\u2019s why I think it is so important to take a break from your reading assignments and listening to lectures to put your brain to the test and quiz yourself over the material that you\u2019ve been reviewing non-stop.\u202fMaking the material all come together in a way that you will be tested over will not only make you a better student, but a better future nurse!\u202fIn the end, we aren\u2019t spending most of our time studying and taking our nursing exams to pass our classes\u2026 we are doing all of this in preparation to help save lives, take care of loved ones, and to make a difference in the world of nursing.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moral of the story here is this, don\u2019t ever stop doing the most for yourself and your future career as a nurse.\u202fWork hard at your assignments, listen to your lectures as often as you can, find your tribe of like-minded classmates that push you to succeed, do all the adaptive quizzes through Elsevier, crush your exams, and finally, CELEBRATE!\u202fNursing school is hard, but with each exam you are one step closer to earning those letters behind your name – and Elsevier is there to help you every step of the way. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
