This is Kirsten, one of our Elsevier Student Ambassadors from the sunshine state! She is currently in an accelerated Bachelor of Nursing program and loves sharing her nursing journey and tips with you all! She has always wanted to go into the medical field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While growing up, Kirsten was always in and out of hospitals due to several congenital cardiac anomalies. It really familiarized her to the hospital scene. She always knew that she wanted to have a career in that setting. Once in college, she was not unsure of exactly what route she wanted to take. After hearing about the nurse anesthetist role, she felt it aligned perfectly with her ultimate goals! She then decided to pursue nursing and is only one year away from her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI would love to advance my career after undergrad and steer towards the CRNA route; but I\u2019m just taking life one step at a time!\u201d <\/p>Kirsten<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
The biggest piece of advice she has to offer future nursing students is to never give up! It takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get into and through the program, but so many others do it, and you can too! Remember it\u2019s not easy for anyone, we all work so hard to get into and through the program and it will all pay off in the end! Remember why you started in the first place! We hope you all enjoy Kirsten as much as we do, and she is ecstatic to meet and engage with you all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
